Melissa Ann Tarpley, CMP is the Senior Sales Manager at Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose where she creates memorable experiences by working personally with meeting planners on strategic meetings, product launches, and corporate events.
Melissa is the first African-American to hold a Bachelors of Science in Applied Arts & Sciences in Hospitality & Tourism from San Diego State University. While emphasizing her degree in meetings, events and conventions, Melissa also minored in Political Science. She also holds a Masters of Arts in Management from National University.
She relocated to the Bay Area 2 years ago from San Diego after a ten year career in hospitality and tourism while holding leadership roles within non-profit organizations that enhanced hospitality education and empowering underserved people to achieve social and economic equality through advocacy, bridge building, program services and research.
In her spare time, she continues to volunteer for non-profit organizations in Oakland and San Francisco. You can find Melissa either hosting a theme cooking event, wine tasting, golfing, watching basketball / football, or enjoying the arts.
Additionally she recently passed the Certified Meeting Professional Exam.
